About the
Workshop
The workshop was organized by The
Business
Place Philippi with the
support of the International
Labour Organization's Social
Entrepreneurship Targeting
Youth in South Africa (SETYSA) project.
The aim of the workshop was to
show, in practice, the potential of social enterprise to link
social-environmental and economic development, and to encourage
intermediaries to explore joint ventures in realizing these
opportunities.
Over 40
participants attended, including representatives of the City of Cape
Town, business development service providers, social enterprise support
institutions, finance providers, environmental NGOs, social
entrepreneurs and other individuals.
Some of the speakers' presentations
and the workshop
notes can be viewed as PDF documents.
